Day Two
Day Two in Austria is all about The Sound of Music and the storybook town of Hallstatt. We joined Bob’s Special Tours for a fun morning visiting the original filming locations of the 1964 movie The Sound of Music. Locations included:

Mirabell Garden and the Pegasus Fountain - where Maria and the children danced and sang

Schloss Leopoldskron -where the Baron and his children lived (now a hotel)

Gazebo - where Liesl sang “16 going on 17”
The afternoon was spent in the lakeside town of Hallstatt exploring the quaint streets, shopping, sampling the food, and relaxing by the lake.
