Germany

Day  Five and Six

On day five we traveled to Zugspitze, Germany's highest point, at 9,700 feet. From there we traveled to Bavaria and the beautiful village of Füssen where we spent a lazy afternoon walking along the Lech River. The next day was filled with castles and kings. The Museum of the Bavarian Kings provided a history of the Wittelsbach dynasty. Visiting King Ludwig's Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles was like being in a fairy tale (without the knights in shining armor).
